Feed Mills Soures Limestone for Manufacturing Feed Additives
Vietnam is a country with large reserves of limestone mountains. These limestone mines contain more than 95% CaCO3. According to statistics, most of the limestone mines are distributed in the north, in provinces such as Ha Nam, Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Yen Bai and Tuyen Quang.
According to assessment, limestone mines in Yen Bai province has high whiteness and CaCO3 content over 98%. This material is used to produce white cement, or pulverized and used in industries such as paper, paint, plastic, rubber, PVC pipe and taican granules.
Yen Bai Limestone Mine
Limestone sources in provinces such as Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Quang Ninh and Hai Phong are mostly exploited and used for construction with very large reserves. Due to high limestone content of CaCO3 and high compression, the demand for this type of product is increasing.
Currently, many Animal Feed Mills are turning to limestone as a mineral to replace other calcium sources such as seashells. Limestone has a calcium content of more than 38% and a magnesium content of less than 0.5% and a whiteness of over 90% is very suitable as a feed additive.
Ha Nam Limestone Mine
Ha Nam has millions of tons of limestone reserves, stable quality and low production costs. Many factories producing Limestone powder and granules located in here. Average monthly they supply to the market about 300,000 – 400,000 tons. Products are delivered to Feed Mills by truck and container trailer. Another quanity is delivered to construction brick factories and construction sites.
