Copper sulfate pentahydrate is a chemical compound with the formula CuSO4·5H2O. It is commonly known as blue vitriol or bluestone. It is a hydrate, which incorporates water molecules into its crystalline structure. It is soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol. Dissolves in water to form a light blue solution.
