How Quicklime Is Improving Water Treatment Industry
Access to clean drinking water is vital for public health, yet many areas in the world still struggle with water contamination issues. One innovative solution being utilized is the use of Vietnam Quicklime in water treatment facilities.
Quicklime, also known as calcium oxide, has powerful cleansing properties that are helping improve water quality across the country. When adding quicklime to water containing contaminants like bacteria, viruses, heavy metals, and organic compounds, it undergoes a process called hydration where it reacts with water to form calcium hydroxide.

It is also more stable than Alternatives like chlorine, retaining its disinfecting power for longer. This makes it suitable for intermittent or off-grid water supplies far from urban centers.
As the world continues to develop its water infrastructure, quicklime looks poised to play an important role. Its ability to dramatically improve water quality in a cost-effective manner will have significant positive impacts on public health nationwide for years to come. Quicklime demonstrates how a simple, locally sourced material can deliver safe drinking water even to the hardest-to-reach areas.
